Founded in 1866, Charvet has been producing fabrics in Armentieres. A town in northern France renowned since the middle ages as the City of Canvas.
During the 20th century Charvet pivoted form making sheets to creating beautiful napkins, placemats and aprons from flax grown only an hour and a half away in Flanders.
Their products are all woven and manufactured in their Armentieres factory and are 100 % French.
Their napkins and placemats range from everyday casual to everyday sophisticated through the use of pattern variations, natural colours and sometimes even with metallic thread woven in to add a dash of subtle sparkle.
They are a lovely way to add a little European elegance to your dining room.
